Alpha iX Hybrid Bidet Seat

We received this as a gift in 2020 and loved it. The light is pointless, so we never use that feature, and I find myself never using the heated seat, but the pressure's great, and the ability to have electrically warmed water's great, because we'd have to cut a hole in the under-sink cabinet for hot water access if using a non-electric kind. I kind of hate running an extension cord to plug it in, but it's better than busting up cabinetry.

There have been two problems that have me looking for a different brand or type of seat:

1) There are so many nooks and crannies in and around the nozzle and dryer that stay permanently moist and enclosed, so they cultivate mold growth, and it's impossible to fully clean all up in the cracks. The "self-cleaning" nozzle just dribbles water, presumably intended to rinse of waste, but it doesn't do anything to clean or sanitize the recesses of the device itself. You end up kind of stuck with black gunk growing up inside the dryer vent and nozzle socket.

2) After a little under 3 years of use, the reservoir started leaking at the seams whenever the wash function was active. This thing only has a 1-year warranty, and it's kind of insane to me that such a crucial and expensive home fixture would have such a brief intended lifespan. I contacted the manufacturer about the leak, and they posited that the solenoid might need to be replaced, but purchasing a new solenoid, shipping the whole seat to them, and paying for the repair would not have made financial sense, especially if the solenoid ended up not being the issue.

I need to replace this thing, and because of these two annoyances, I'm looking for other brands. I might end up opting for a plain, cold-water, mechanical attachment just for the sake of affordability and fewer failure points. I'll get used to a cold spray.

This changed my entire bathroom experience... I'm so glad I bought this when I did. I've cut back on paper and even though I still use it to dry off, there's never any residue that the bidet hasn't already completely removed. A remarkable device.

I bought my house in 2018 and got my own "dad bathroom" in the basement and said, "I'll show them, I'll have the nicest toilet in the house." I then installed a nicer new toilet and this Alpha Bidet iX Hybrid i got from the homies at bidetking. I had no idea I was purchasing such a fantastic product. This has been my "daily driver" since it's install and it has never had an issue. The seat doesn't "slow close" anymore, but bruh its like 6 years old at this point. Alpha Bidet has more than earned my repeat business and of course bidetking has the best price!

Exactly as advertised. Comfortable and easy to install.

I cant give a review at this time because I haven't installed my bidet yet, I have to get an electrician to install the needed plug and wires
